How to Start Using DigiLocker?

4. Create your own username and password. That’s it — your DigiLocker account is ready.

You can upload documents like mark sheets, ID proofs, or certificates yourself.
● Log in to DigiLocker.
● Go to the “Upload Document” section.
● Select the file from your device (PDF, JPEG, or PNG format).
● Upload and save it.
Your documents are now stored safely online.
Getting Issued Documents
The best part of DigiLocker is that many government offices, banks, and insurance companies can directly send your documents to your DigiLocker. These are officially digitally signed and accepted everywhere.
Here’s how you can fetch them:
1. Log in to your DigiLocker.
2. Open the “Issued Documents” section.
3. Choose the category (for example, “Banking and Insurance”).
4. Select your bank or insurance provider.
5. Enter details like your policy number or customer ID.
6. Your document will appear in PDF format and get saved automatically.
