GC Insure App may collect health and fitness data from your device through Google Fit and/or Health Connect, strictly with your explicit consent.
11.1 User Authentication
- Google Account Authentication:
GC Insure App allows you to optionally authenticate using your Google account via Google’s secure Authentication APIs.
This authentication is completely optional and performed at your discretion.
- If you do not authenticate, the app will not access any Google user data.
11.2. Google Fit & Health Connect Access
- GC Insure App integrates with:
• Google Fit APIs, and/or
• Health Connect by Android
- This integration enables the app to access selected health and fitness data stored on your device.
- You must explicitly grant permissions before any data is accessed.
- You can revoke access at any time via:
- Google Fit / Health Connect settings, or
- Your device permissions
11.3. Data Collected
With your consent, GC Insure App may collect:
- Step count data (walking/running activity)
- Other fitness activity metrics (only if explicitly permitted by you via Google Fit or Health Connect)
We do NOT access any data beyond what you explicitly approve.
11.4. Purpose of Data Usage
The collected data is used solely for:
- Calculating wellness benefits and rewards
- Enhancing customer engagement and fitness-based services
We do not use this data for advertising or profiling.
11.5. Data Storage and Sharing
