Shreeraj Deshpande
Shreeraj Deshpande is the Chief Operating Officer here at Generali Central Insurance. Additionally, he also heads the Health Insurance business and oversees overall operations for the company.
Shreeraj has been a part of Generali Central since 2010. He spearheaded the formation of GCH. It’s a specialised in-house department where all health insurance-related processes like underwriting, health call centre, products, claims settlement, and networking occurs. His constant efforts towards better customer service have made GCI’s in-house claim services one of the best in the insurance sector.
Before joining GCI 11 years back, Shreeraj had a six-year stint at Bajaj Allianz, where he worked in a leadership position. He had started his insurance career with The New India Assurance Company. He shifted to the private sector after serving the company for 14 years. In total, he has 25+ years of rich experience working in the insurance space. He is regularly invited to share his immense knowledge with various industry bodies.
Shreeraj holds a Master of Management Science (Marketing) degree from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management and a Doctorate (PhD) degree from the University of Pune. He is also a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India.
A sports enthusiast, Shreeraj loves to play and follow both Cricket and Hockey. He is also an amateur photographer and loves to travel in his free time.
