There will be no disruption to any of our customer touchpoints, including service and support, insurance policy covers and benefits, premium payment, and renewals and claims processes.

This transition is designed to enhance the trust you've placed in us over the past two decades. With a unified brand identity, we're combining the global insurance expertise of Generali Group - a global leader in the insurance industry with 193 years of heritage - with the expansive reach and deep-rooted trust of the 113-year-old Central Bank of India, creating a partnership that is stronger and even more customer-focused than before.

We understand that you may have questions about this change. Rest assured, we're here to address them and keep you informed every step of the way.

Q. What does this transition mean for me?

  • The Generali Group has joined hands with Central Bank of India (CBoI)—one of the country’s oldest and most trusted public sector banks—to form Generali Central Insurance Company Limited. This powerful joint venture brings together Generali’s global insurance expertise and CBI’s deep-rooted legacy and nationwide reach, united by a shared vision: to deliver even greater value, protection, and peace of mind to you and your loved ones. With this partnership, we are now better equipped, better supported, and better positioned to bring you innovative, world-class insurance solutions — with the same care, service, and reliability you've always counted on.

What remains unchanged

  • All existing policy benefits, terms, and conditions.
  • The premium amounts you have already paid.
  • The quality of our service and support across all channels.
  • Our contact details, including office addresses, helpline numbers, and all customer touch points.

What's new

  • A refreshed brand identity that will be rolled out across our customer touchpoints over the next six months (starting July 30, 2025)
  • Important to note:
    • No action is required from customers—your policies and services will continue as usual.
    • A dedicated customer support team is available to assist you with any queries.
    • You can reach out to us through your preferred communication channel—we’re here to help.
    • Forthcoming updates, if any, will be duly communicated. 
    • This transition brings together two trusted names in the financial services sector, further reinforcing the trust you've placed in us for over the years.

Q. I am getting communication with both brand names. What names are valid?

We've officially changed our name from:

Future Generali India Insurance Company Limited to Generali Central Insurance Company Limited

effective July 30, 2025 (ROC date)

  • You may receive communication under both names
  • Both, the existing and new names, will remain valid during the transition
  • Rest assured, this will not affect your policy, benefits, or service experience in any way.

Q. Can I visit any Central Bank branch for any insurance servicing request?

For policies bought through Central Bank of India, you may feel free to contact the representatives of Generali Central Insurance at the CBoI branch.

Q. I have bought my policy via an individual agent. Will the agent still be associated with Generali Central Insurance Company Limited?

Yes, absolutely. Your agent continues to remain associated with us and will be there to support you, just as before. This transition does not impact your existing relationship with your agent in any way.

Q. I have bought my policy via other sources. Will this impact my policy?

Your policy remains unchanged. This transition will not impact your existing policy cover in any way. You will continue to enjoy the same features, benefits, and coverage, with absolutely no disruption to your experience.

Q. Do I need to share any new documentation etc.?

The only thing that is changing is our identity. No additional document or information is required from you. There is no action needed on your part.

Q. Will there be any changes to premium payments via cheques due to the company name change?

We are currently updating our bank accounts to reflect our new identity and name. You can continue making premium payments just the way you have been doing. Should there be any changes, we’ll keep you informed well in advance to ensure everything remains smooth and convenient for you.

Q. Will my personal information remain secure during and after the process?

Absolutely! Your personal information will remain fully secure during and after the transition. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of data privacy and protection, and you can rest assured that your information is safe with us.

Q. Will there be any change in the claims process?

No. The claims process remains unchanged

You can continue to raise claims by following the existing claims process. Our internal systems and processes will remain unchanged to ensure a seamless experience for all our customers, even post the transition.

Q. Will there be any changes to the claims settlement time frames?

There will be no changes to the existing claims settlement timeframes. Our internal systems and processes will continue to operate as before, ensuring a seamless experience for all customers. You can expect the same timely and smooth experience you've always had with us.

 

Policy Renewal and Changes

 

Q. Will I need to update any of my policy documents or records to reflect the name change?

Not at all. Only our name is changing—everything else about your policy remains just the way it is. There’s no need for you to update any documents or records on your end.
